For National Poetry Month, I will post the poem of the day here. I am keeping a running list for the 50 word project on the Laughing Dove Page.
Today’s writing prompt from Read Write Poem was Three in a Row. The idea is to write about the significance of threeness. I was out for most of the day, so all I had time for was a haiku.
Three
that bird with two notes
seesaws in the treetops while
the bird with three soars

The whole haiku is magic! the contrast between “seesawing” and “soaring,” the alliteration, the message packed into just seventeen syllables … I, too, love it.
I love this! Three is the magic number.
