The Read Write Poem prompt for today was to “listen to all the noise and let it inspire your poetry!” Here is what came up. It doesn’t feel finished, but this is all I can do with it today.
Middle Ear
Small bones
never rest,
busy as they are
with the buzz
of my life.
There is always
something to report:
the wrens’ courtship,
the hedgehog’s progress,
the muezzin’s call.
And beneath
this latest news
is the blood,
is the breath,
is the space
in between.

The second stanza is my favourite part too. i like the economy of your writing in this piece.
I love where you’re going with this and agree that the 2nd stanza is marvelous. Those are exactly the sorts of things that my ear likes to catch and report too.
Beautiful 2nd stanza!
