Another lovely translation from Mundicamino is sun hat or ‘the hat of wide wing.’ What would you rather wear? I’m going for the hat of wide wing. Here’s what each of us needs for the five week trek. Fortunately, we don’t have to carry much food or water. We have almost everything we need, including some blisters I got today on a walk from Viterbo to La Quercia where our students and their host families had a farewell luncheon. I was wearing sandals; what was I thinking?

And so does your comment, Clint!
See, this is my favorit post…it starts off with the hat of ‘wide wing’ – that is such a great description of a large brimmed hat. So even a list of the gear that you will need for your trek sparkles with literary style.
